One of the fastest rising stars of her generation, Italian cello virtuoso and accomplished pianist Miriam Prandi has already garnered worldwide recognition. Following her performance of the Dvořák Cello Concerto at Zürich Tonhalle, the Schweizer Musikzeitung praised her “sincerity of expression … surprising for her young age”.

She debuted at Milan’s Teatro alla Scala with Accademia della Scala Orchestra conducted by Vladimir Fedoseyev. She successfully toured Bolzano, Trento, Silandro, Firenze as a soloist with the Orchestra Haydn under the baton of Michele Mariotti. Together with her longtime recital partner, pianist Alexander Romanovsky, Miriam Prandi played in Rome at the Cappella Paolina in the Quirinale for the Rai Radio3 broadcast as well as at various renowned chamber music Concert Series like Amici della Musica Verona, Musica Insieme Bologna, Associazione Chamber Music in Trieste and others. Ms. Prandi won the Rahn Musikpreis, First Prize of the Geminiani Competition in Verona, the Muzio Clementi Prize in Rome, as well as scholarships from the Lyra Stiftung, the Ambrosoli Foundation, the Rudolf von Tobel Studienstiftung, and the Rahn Kulturfonds.

She has performed solo recitals across Europe and North America, has been a featured artist at the Opera di Firenze, the Auditorium Rai for Unione Musicale Torino, the Spoleto Festival dei Due Mondi, the Bologna Festival, and the Menuhin Festival Gstaad in Switzerland, to name but a selection. As an accomplished chamber musician she performed the world’s premiere performance of Vivaldi’s Triple Concerto (arranged for three cellos) alongside Ivan Monighetti and Min Ji Kim with the Gstaad Festival Orchestra. She played at all of the most prestigious European venues, such as Berlin Philharmonie, Konzerthaus Berlin, Rheingau Music Festival, Konzerthaus Vienna and countless others. She recorded the entire Bach's Art of Fugue at the Deutschlandfunk Köln for the label Oehms Classics.
